As Christmas is around the corner, here’s an idea for a Christmas-themed drawing. You can use this in your cards or just to celebrate the day. It is a Santa with a Christmas tree.

Christmas is incomplete without this drawing. We all have drawn this at some point in our life. So let’s relive the day and paint it once again with your own ideas.

Step 1

As the initial step, we will be drawing Santa. To start with, we will draw the hat of Santa. First, make a rectangular shape for the rim but make sure it is not a stiff rectangle; make it with wavy lines. After that, make another wavy line from one end of that shape and bring it to the other side. Then make a pompom at the end.

This is the very first step of the drawing. Let’s move forward to the next step.

Step 2

Now leave a little space and make a circular shape for the nose. Then under the circular shape, make the mustache in a ‘w’ shape. Make a curve vertically from the edge of the rim of the hat and make the cheek.

Step 3

Next, make some wavy lines to make the beard. We all know Santa has long, thick beards. Then make a tiny half-circle to make the mouth. Now make a hand by making little curves and joining the end.

We will be gradually making this drawing. Follow these steps one by one and you will be amazed by the end result.

Step 4

Now let’s draw the arms and add some details on the face of Santa. For the arm, draw a rectangular shape right after the palm you have previously drawn. After that, make a curve in the shape of a ‘u’ for the front part of the hand.

Henceforth, add the detailing on the face. With small circular shapes for eyes and right above the should be the eyebrows. The eyes will be half circles joined with another line to show the cheeks.

Step 5

Now, complete the rest of the upper part of the Santa. Draw the sweater by using rectangular shapes and creating little curves to make the fluffy parts of the sweater. Make sure the front part is wider than the other one.

Then make the other hand in the same process as in step 3 and step 4.

Next, make a belt in a rectangular shape.

Step 6

Now complete the Santa by drawing the rest of the body parts and adding some minor details.

Make the feet circular shapes and boots in round manner. Make the legs spread out a bit.

Add a bag on the front hand and on the back. Add a star on the rim of the hat. You can draw it by making two triangles.

Step 7

In this step, make a tree in a triangular shape. Make some sections in between.

Or you can do it another way, make several triangles one after another in gradually increasing sizes. The topmost triangle will be the smallest one, and the bottommost one will be the largest one. Make sure you erase all the excess lines. Once you get a similar picture like this, move toward the next step.

Step 8

As you have already learned to draw gift boxes, make some Gift boxes for decoration using square and rectangular shapes. Make sure they are in different shapes and sizes.

Step 9

Now, complete the decoration of the tree with your creativity and the different items you have already learned.

Now color the page as you want to. As we all know that Santa wears a classic red suit, which is known as Santa suit. So color the Santa suit in red and the fluffy part of it in white.

Next, color the tree in a bright shade of green, and with a darker shade, give shading on the lower part of the sections. You can color the decorations and presents as you want to. Be sure to be creative and use vibrant colors.
